1. ظرف

   بعيداً عن سطح الأرض أو كوكب آخر؛ في الاتجاه المعاكس لسحب الجاذبية

2. ظرف

   إلى أو في مكان أعلى جسديا أو أكثر ارتفاعا.

   أمثلة

   • All day we climbed up and up.
   • Lift the carpet up and look underneath.
3. ظرف

   إلى مستوى أعلى من بعض الكمية أو الكمية الافتراضية، مثل السعر، الحجم، الملعب، السعادة، الخ.

   أمثلة

   • The price of gold has gone up.
   • Turn it up, I can barely hear it.
4. ظرف

   لموقع صاخب أو حشري

   أمثلة

   • Please sit up and listen.

5. ظرف

   إلى أو نحو ما يعتبر قمة شيء ما، بغض النظر عما إذا كان هذا أعلى ماديا في الوقت الحاضر.
