Giriş

Future continuous, in progress at a specific moment in the future (gelecekte belirli bir anda sürmekte olacak) bir eylemi anlatır. will be + fiilin -ing biçimi ile kurulur.

Özne+will be+fiil-ing

  • This time tomorrow, I will be flying to Rome.
  • At 8pm, she will be working.
  • When you arrive, we will be waiting for you.
when, while, before, after ve as soon as gibi zaman bağlaçlarından sonra, anlam gelecek olsa bile İngilizcede normalde şimdiki zaman kullanılır (will değil): While I am cooking, he will be setting the table. / When you arrive, we will be waiting. (yanlış: while I will be cooking).

Future Continuous ve Future Simple

Future simple (will + base) gelecekteki tek bir olayı ya da kararı anlatır. Future continuous ise bir eylemin gelecekteki bir noktada ongoing (sürmekte) olacağını vurgular.
