Předpřítomný vs. předpřítomný průběhový čas
Oba časy spojují minulost s přítomností, ale s jiným důrazem. Předpřítomný čas zdůrazňuje dokončení nebo výsledek (completion or result); předpřítomný průběhový čas zdůrazňuje trvání nebo probíhající činnost (duration or ongoing activity).
| Present Perfect (dokončení/výsledek) | Present Perfect Continuous (trvání/činnost) |
|---|---|
| I have read three chapters. (dokončeno) | I have been reading for two hours. (činnost, trvání) |
| She has painted the room. (je hotovo) | She has been painting all day. (úsilí/činnost) |
